Job Description

Clinical Laboratory Analyst Our client requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Laboratory Analyst to join their team. This position would be trained in the key areas of their clinical diagnostic testing laboratories, including the ability to operate the various analysersand analytical instrumentation.This position will be based within our clients site in Great Portland Street in London.Key tasks & responsibilities:- Routine use of the RCLS Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs).- The performance of various analytical procedures including various manual screening and automated methods covering a wide variety of clinical diagnostic tests.- The preparation and handling of samples and diagnostic reagents.- The accurate maintenance of analytical records.- Strict adherence to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process.- Routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.- Stock management- Perform troubleshooting on technical issues associated with Clinical Diagnostic Testing.- Ensuring that all the necessary Quality Control checks are completed daily and that they meet internal criteria- Adherence to the companys Positive Work Environment Policies, health and safety procedures, and the maintenance of a safe working environment- Individuals must be flexible in their working hours, if requiredThe successful applicants must meet the following criteria:Essential Skills:- Qualified to at least degree standard in Biochemistry, or a Life Science (Minimum 2:1 degree).- Excellent organisational skills.- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Computer literateDesired Skills:- BSc in Biomedical Science and Diploma in Professional Practice- Working knowledge of quality systems (ISO17025, ISO15189, CAP, GCP)- Working knowledge of Health & Safety including CoSHHAbout Our Client: An international company operating in over 145 countries that continues to have unparalleled growth, our client has been the heartbeat of the UKs National COVID Testing Programme throughout the pandemic.
