Job Description

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for experienced Cleaners with Enhanced DBS to work for our client within Residential, School, Early Years settings.The successful post holder will ensure that the environment is safe, clean, hygienic, and homely by undertaking a variety of domestic tasks and duties efficiently, safely and having regard to the professional objectives of the setting.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To clean and tidy designated areas and appliances such as communal rooms, group rooms, laundry area, kitchen, toilets and bathrooms, including vacuum cleaning, washing, sweeping, emptying of letter bins, polishing and mopping
  • This involves undertaking duties with an understanding of health and safety in this area, taking care for the security of all cleaning equipment
  • Washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables
  • Cleaning of the kitchen, its surroundings at the request of the manager
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and informing the managers to ensure a constant supply
  • The duties and responsibilities of the post may change over time. Only significant duties or responsibilities are required by the Service Manager will render the grade of the post liable for re-evaluation
  • To liaise with the manager and facilities management to ensure premises/homes standards are maintained
    • Requirements:
  • Valid Enhanced DBS
  • Previous experience
  • Health and Safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of relevant hygiene and health and safety guidelines and regulations or ability to learn.
  • Be literate and numeric to a standard required to understand hazard warnings/instructions on domestic/hygiene products.
    • Training: Candidates must have at least one of the following training certificates
  • First Aid training
  • Food Hygiene training
  • Safeguarding training
  • Health & Safety training
  • Infection control
  • Fire Safety
    • Working hours: 10 am to 2 pm, Monday to FridayThis is a Temporary role but could possibly become permanentPlease note only candidates eligible to work in the UK will be considered Required skills
