Job Description

Claims Manager - £95,000 - £110,000 + 25% BonusOur client is a leading MGA and is looking for a Claims Manager.The Role:Working in a highly professional environment, you will be skilled at building rapport with Brokers and clients whilst working quickly and efficiently, giving these Clients the best possible Claims experience.This role will involve building the Claims function from the ground up whilst managing the relationship with the third party Claims resolution company.Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining ownership of your allocation of Claims, setting up and handling each case from First Notification of Loss though to Settlement
  • Ensure Claims are settled within specific handling times and Clients are kept updated with the progress of their Claim
  • Production on the monthly claims bordereaux to all stakeholders within the required timescales
  • Managing and promptly resolving all external and internal queries
  • Building, developing, and maintaining close working relationships with Clients ensuring a consistently high standard of service is provided
  • Adhering to your personal authority limits and referring for authorisation above those where necessary
  • Build relationships with both London and Local claims brokers.
  • Provide commentary on the weekly movement and new notification reports to the Underwriting teams, providing portfolio feedback on claim experiences and trends at the monthly underwriting meetings
  • Provide high quality reporting for the monthly Claims Committee, highlighting issues with claims performance & workloads, claim trends or developments, new notifications and significant claim movements
  • To have a good working relationship and regular dialogue with capacity providers, actuarial and outward reinsurance functions, keeping them regularly apprised of new notifications and significant claim developments
  • Support the CFO through delivery of the annual claims business plan
  • Assist in developing the skills of any new hires within the department, sharing experiences gained from working within the London Market
Skills & Experience:Essential:
  • Strong Claims management experience across multiple lines of business
  • Solid experience in working for an Insurer/Reinsurer, across multiple territories preferably
  • Strong Attention to Detail and natural Problem-Solving skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Good time-management
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
  • Works collaboratively and establishes trusted relationships
  • Proactively identifies and attempts to resolve issues
  • Willingness to travel to offices abroad
