Job Description

Claims Adjuster - Proportional ReinsuranceLondonNegotiable Salary + Excellent BenefitsWe are currently recruiting for a Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well-known brand in the Lloyds insurance market.Reporting into the Reinsurance Claims Manager, you will be a specialist for all Proportional Treaty business written globally, dealing with Underwriters on all technical aspects, implementing operational improvements, and ensuring proactive management ofall aspects of Proportional Treaty business post-placement.Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and processing Proportional Treaty statements.
  • Maintaining and managing reconciliations of Treaty accounts.
  • Monitoring lag in reporting of Treaty statements and reporting any potential financial impact.
  • Considering offsets between unpaid premiums and claim balances due.
  • Liaising closely with Finance, Credit Control, Actuarial and Underwriting teams.
  • Correctly assessing claims coverage in accordance with policy terms and conditions.
  • Managing claims within claims authority and set KPIs, in accordance with the established claims manual.
  • Ensuring that each Treaty account is regularly reviewed and proactively managed.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Reinsurance Claims role within the London Market. This includes a good understanding proportional / quota share treaties, as well as experience of reviewing technical statement of accounts, and assessing / applying policy coveragefor Reinsurance treaties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative and thoughtful approach to stakeholder management.
