Job Description

Main Purpose: You will be responsible for the voice and AV systems globally (over 60 countries) including the interaction between those systems and other collaboration tools. You will be supported in this role by external vendors and outsource partners. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be an integral member of the network architecture team providing technical leadership for all things unified communications and reporting to global head of networks. The position will involve but is not limited to the following areas of responsibility:

  • Develop architecture plans for voice and multimedia services
  • Provide roadmaps for voice technology services (invest, retain, retire strategies)
  • Prepare appropriate budgets and specifications for projects in line with roadmaps and strategy
  • Responsible for operational management of voice and video environment and available for L2/L3 escalations
  • Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting tools to provide indicators of health, availability and reliability of the environments
  • Interface with vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to Trafigura infrastructure needs.
  • Communicate the strategic vision across Trafigura stakeholders, to include senior IT management.
  • Provide effective training, handover and support to operations teams.
  • Management of the telephony and video estate, ensuring products remain in support where appropriate
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external users.
  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise voice, video technologies and unified communications
  • In-depth experience of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Ver14, Jabber, Cisco Unity Connection, Messaging, Cisco IM and Presence Service, Cisco voice routers and Cisco Expressway.
  • In-depth experience of audio and video conferencing backend systems, Cisco TMS and Cisco Webex Meetings.
  • Experience with CUCM 14 and above Software/hardware platform upgrades and dealing with carriers around DDI presentation, call routing and dial plans.
  • Exposure with AMX room controllers, interactive whiteboard and projectors.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing end points, Cisco 7000 and 8000 series phones
  • Session Border Controllers and SIP Trunking configuration and best practice
  • Experience of working with Unified Communications architecture and integration.
  • Working knowledge of integrated and non-integrated VC systems.
  • Experience and/or strong working knowledge of multiple VC platforms.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to project a calm and professional demeanour during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise strong technical and business judgment in mission critical IT support functions with-in financial services trading environments.
  • Driven to provide superior support. Demonstrated a true ownership mentality to service and problem resolution.
  • Be able to travel at very short notice to any and all countries where there are active operations.
  • Desirable, Cisco CCNP or CCIE Collaboration
