Significant amount of travel in Britain.The package also includes:8% employer pension contribution25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and additional leave during the Christmas weekSeason Ticket LoanThe company is the Anglican mission agency that partners with churches and communities worldwide, aiming to enliven faith, strengthen relationships, unlock potential, and champion justice.About the Role: As the Church Engagement Manager, your primary responsibility will be to build and develop a community of church supporters and volunteers primarily based across Britain and Ireland. You will maintain communication and strengthen engagementopportunities across the Anglican churches using appropriate channels. This role aims to equip our church supporters/groups and volunteers with the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding of our work to succeed.About You: To be successful in this role, you should have experience in leading, managing, supporting, and motivating colleagues, church supporters, and volunteers from across Britain and Ireland. You will need to maintain a vision and energy for the teamand effectively translate that vision into practical work plans. A sound knowledge of the Anglican Church and church networks, fundraising practice, and volunteer management will be essential. Additionally, excellent presentation skills and an ability to relateto diverse audiences within the global church context are important.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a church engagement strategy that encompasses volunteers, facilitating their involvement in supporter actions (give, act, and pray) at all levels of work within Britain and Ireland.Liaise between our UK church partners and the mission agency, advocating and fundraising for our global churches.Establish a long-term engagement approach with churches, working with other team leads to acquire new church supporters to engage with the company.Provide training and support to volunteers as they speak to groups and churches about the impact of the organization.Represent the company at parish and diocesan levels, attending events and fundraising activities.Promote best practices in volunteering and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.Recruit and train volunteers, provide necessary resources, and act as the first point of contact.The Church Engagement Manager will be part of the Communications, Fundraising, and Engagement team, fostering collaboration to achieve organizational and team objectives.If you are passionate about working with churches to make a global impact and possess the required skills and experience, we invite you to join us.
