Children and Young People’s Registered NutritionistBased in London37 hours per week (full time) Also available as a part time 4 day week£35,780 - £39,235 (part-time £28,624 - £31,388) per annum inclusive of Inner London Weighting1 year contract with the possibility of an extensionAre you a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude, who is solution focused and passionate about making a difference If so, we want to hear from you.This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative service that supports two authorities in tackling childhood obesity and health inequalities, through a holistic health promotion and community-based approach.You will join a dynamic service that takes a preventative and whole systems approach to tackling childhood obesity and health inequalities at a time when supporting disadvantaged members of our society is more essential than ever.We were delighted to be awarded delivery of a Change4Life service across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster in 2020. Change4Life takes a holistic and community-based approach, improving and promoting the physical and emotional health & wellbeing of childrenand their families with a lasting impact.As a Children and Young People’s Registered Nutritionist, you’ll be passionate about transforming the lives of children, young people and their families. Sharing and embracing the Public Heath agenda, you will work with local authorities to promote nationaland local public health priorities including healthy eating, physical activity, oral health and emotional wellbeing. You will play a key role in Change4Life’s mission to:- Deliver an innovative service with a holistic approach to promoting health and wellbeing- Align with other services that promote similar messages- Promote a whole systems approach to reduce health inequalities- Be responsive and flexible to the changing needs of those the service supportsWhat makes this Children and Young People’s Registered Nutritionist role unique is the:- Autonomy to manage a varied and sometimes complex coaching caseload (5-19 year and up to 25 years old with special educational needs) with a multicultural community- Opportunity to develop leadership skills and be responsible for organising and chairing regular clinical supervision session for the coaching scheme staff- Responsibility for assessing and co-delivering training for the Change4Life teamYou will have experience working in a weight management service and hold a current RNutr registration. We highly value the expertise of all our staff and as such are strongly committed to CPD. You will be supported to complete CPD requirements to maintain yourRNutr registration, and to develop your skills and knowledge in this specialism and within this exciting role and service.You will also have a genuine commitment to a whole systems approach and working in partnership with children, young people and their families in order to provide evidence based holistic support that seeks to reduce health inequalities across communities. Thesuccessful candidate will be a motivated, passionate practitioner who will strive for excellent standards, robustly ensuring a quality, evidenced based and accessible service.
