Job Description

A digital banking firm is looking to hire a Chief Risk Officer for their London office to manage the Banks day to day risk management in line with the Risk Governance Framework and the Board Approved Risk Appetite Framework while providing oversight tothe Banks systems and controls (SYSC).Main Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for Risk Management policies including the Credit Policy, Credit Manual, Asset Classification & Provisioning policy, Collateral Management Policy and the Risk Governance Framework.
  • Responsible for the banks day to day risk management in line with the Risk Governance Framework (RGF) and the Board approved Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) while providing oversight to the banks systems and controls.
  • Responsibility for managing the firms internal stress-tests and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information provided to the PRA and other regulatory bodies for the purposes of stress-testing
  • Develop and regularly update the Risk Assessment covering all areas of the Banks operations, ensuring mitigating actions and processes are in place and responsibilities for particular risks are allocated and monitored.
  • Ensure that risk related models and methodologies are appropriate for the Banks use and are reviewed and validated on a periodic basis and approve risk rating for individual borrowers
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years working within a similar senior Risk role ideally from within a similar Digital Banking environment
  • Previously/Currently holding SMF4.
  • Experience and knowledge of having input into financial and strategic planning documents such as ICAAP, ILAAP and RRP
