Job Description

Chief Operating Office - Flexible Hospitality Properties My client is a very exciting property owner and operator with several sites in London. They are a hospitality based start-up business with community and innovation at the heart of their company strategy. They strive to build a genuinely unique and creative offering to appeal to their target audience.They have established a solid grounding in their industries but are now looking to improve and diversify their offering as well as rapidly expanding their portfolio. Therefore, we are seeking an extremely inventive and exciting individual to join the team as Chief Operating Officer.If you are looking to make a difference, create an inspiring property concept and innovate within a dynamic start up, this could be the opportunity for you!Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage an initially small portfolio of hospitality based sites whilst preparing for rapid growth
  • Lead a team of hospitality individuals, motivating and inspiring an excellent service
  • Lead the operations of the business to ensure operational efficiency. This may include reviewing and implementing company-wide policies and procedures
  • Ensure community is the basis of the environment created within each property and by staff members
  • Be an innovative person who can consistently work in a dynamic environment to diversify and create a unique offering
  • Develop and instruct business strategies and plans that match the Founders objectives for the short and long-term
  • Create and set performance related goals and targets for staff to strive to achieve
  • Create a unique, people focused company culture
  • Forecast and analyze business performance reports, being agile to meet new goals
  • Be experienced and motivated to create new products, services and business strategies to benefit the business and its member base
  • Create an idea sharing environment to build innovation from inside the organization whilst actively hiring inspiring, hardworking individuals to ensure the company is always progressive
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy covering branding, standards, marketing, USPs etc.
  • Improve and establish a marketing focused sales strategy that increases direct lead flow which in-turn, creates a more cost effective sales process
  • Understand and implement improvements in property design, user experience and tech integration for members
  • Review and increase effective sales strategies and new revenue streams
  • Establish KPIs for sales, operations and community teams, building a target driven team
  • Manage the planning of construction, administration and mobilisation of new properties as the portfolio grows
  • Manage contractors to ensure they accurately meet budgets, high quality and delivered time frames
  • Attract and deploy specialist consultants if necessary
  • Manage and negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers, consistently improving relationships and procurement success
  • Manage maintenance and facilities management processes to ensure excellent properties standards are always maintained
  • Manage the overall financial performance of the business by setting and meeting goals
  • Take responsibility for the P&L and accounting along side the CFO
  • Requirements:
  • Naturally independent, autonomous and driven to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have strong experience in a fast growth start up background
  • Extensive experience in hotels, flexible offices, members clubs, Build to Rent, Co-Living or similar property sectors
  • Must be an innovative, creative person who is agile to market needs and the customer base
  • Experience at Head of Operations level at minimum
  • Experience in designing, developing and launching a brand
  • Demonstratable leadership skills at a senior level
  • Must have a passion for exceptional service, community, property and start up growth
  • Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 plus bonus. Total package could reach £120,000 to £130,000 after bonus.Please note, due to high volume of applications, we cannot respond to every applicant. Required skills
