Job Description

Job Title: ChefLocation: Blackheath, London, SE3 0PWSalary: £13.11 per hourJob type: Full time, 37.5 hoursMorden College is a charity dedicated to supporting older people, providing them with residential care and residential nursing care if the need arises. Our care services were graded Good in all 5 CQC inspection area ratings and we have been granted Hospitality Assured status.We will provide you with a generous pension, 150 hours holiday plus bank holidays, subsidised meals, free uniform, free onsite parking, and generous learning and development opportunities.The role: As a Chef, youll be a collaborative member of the hospitality services team and be responsible for delivering the best possible standards in terms of food quality, presentation and nutrition by preparing, cooking and serving meals in any of the Collegecatering facilities, as directed. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen and will be responsible for preparing menus, ensuring hygiene standards are adhered to and will work closely with the team to prepare and produce within relevant timescales.The Candidate:

  • Food Safety Level 2 certificate.
  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar Chef, catering or food production operation.
  • Display good, all round practical cookery skills.
