Job Description

Cedar is currently partnered with a highly successful PE-Backed technology business to secure an Interim CFO based in Central London. The role is a 3-6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £1500-2000 per day.The CompanyThis PE-Backed business is highly successful in their specialised area. Based in London, their dynamic technology platform is experiencing rapid expansion in the infrastructure sector. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, they streamline operations and optimiseinfrastructure management. With plans for international growth, they are poised to become a dominant player in the industry. Their innovative approach and commitment to excellence position them at the forefront of innovation, driving our success as they expandtheir operations across multiple geographies.The RoleAs Interim CFO, you will cover:

  • Financial Leadership and Strategy:
    • You will report directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, providing hands-on operational and strategic advisory.
    • Drive financial strategy and decision-making processes to support growth and scalability objectives.
  • Fundraising and Financial Management:
    • Provide strategic guidance on future fundraising initiatives, including tactics, timing, valuation, and options.
    • Manage cash flow, and oversee treasury functions.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead a finance function, hiring as needed and develop a high-performing team.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the finance department.
  • Operational Excellence and Compliance:
    • Implement robust internal controls and finance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Lead initiatives to streamline operations, enhance control, and improve governance.
    • Oversee completion of statutory audits, implementation of accounting policies, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on commercial arrangements and growth initiatives to optimise sales, revenue, and market expansion.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and drive business performance.
Your ProfileYou will ideally have:
  • A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA)·
  • Prior experience in an interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
  • The rate of £1500-2000 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
  • Experience working with Private Equity or Venture Capital backers would be advantageous.
