Job Description

Hi, were Securitas, we guard and protect things, right now somewhere around the world someones most important assets are being monitored and protected by our Security Teams. From maintaining a safe environment for fans at Wembley Stadium or monitoring CCTV for savers cash at a global Bank, through to guarding the real estate and construction workforce for one of the UKs largest Rail infrastructure projects, our Security Officers play an integral role in making people feel safe. We now have a new vacancy for a CCTV Control Room Manager working on site at one of Europes largest retail shopping destinations Westfield Stratford City (WSC).How you will make an impact as a CCTV Control Room Manager:

  • The primary aim of this role will be to provide leadership and management for WSCs 24/7 Security Fire Control Centre Team (SFCC) and Pass Office Teams.
  • The Control Room Manager will be responsible for the management of information and intelligence feeds for crime prevention purposes.
  • You will process incoming data and create intelligence products for dissemination for various stakeholders and produce regular reports.
  • You will develop innovative ways to support crime reduction and counter terrorism.
  • You will be responsible for the collation and dissemination of retail crime analysis and information around known offenders and emerging trends.
  • You will lead in the management of WSCs Business Crime Reduction software GENETEC and promote its use amongst our retail community.
  • You will ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements, responsible for the management, inventory and audit of all SFCC and Pass Office CCTV equipment and software, ensuring all faults are promptly reported and remedied.
  • You will nurture a culture based around teamwork, effective communication, professionalism and etiquette within the SFCC and Pass Office.
  • You will ensure an effective SFCC response to evacuations and serious incidents is expedited, allocating specific roles and responsibilities as outlined in the AI.
  • You will maintain effective oversight of all incidents at Westfield Stratford City to ensure they are effectively managed, logged and reviewed.
  • You will also assist the Security Management Team in developing and sharing of "Best Practice" and use of the "Genetec" system and tools to improve service effectiveness.
    • Essential SkillsWhat you will bring to be a CCTV Control Room Manager:
  • A strong background having worked in control rooms for busy and complex sites is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of security and life-safety systems.
  • Applicants must have a previous Control Room Operational experience with GENETEC CCTV monitoring platform and software.
  • You will be highly PC Literate and proficiently excellent using Microsoft Excel to create detailed analysis reports.
  • You will have a commercial analytical background able to process information quickly and identify data trends.
  • An SIA CCTV Operator or SIA Security Licence is desirable
  • A strong working knowledge of legislation in relation to the role, including but not limited to; the Police and Criminal Evidence (PACE) Act, s3 Criminal Law Act 1967, Theft Act, Common Law, GDPR and Private Security Industry Act 2001.
  • A good practical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations and practice.
  • Applicants will possess excellent leadership skills, able to motivate a busy team
  • Applicants will have good communication skills, able to present and articulate with authority
  • You must be able to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism during times of crisis
  • You will have previous experience of managing third party supplier relationships
