The role is key to ensuring children and young people of Manchester are safe, happy, health and successful.Case Progression Managers provide an effective monitoring and quality assurance role, advising and representing Children and Families inthe Family Justice System to ensure the progression of pre and post proceedings relating to children comply with legal requirements.A key requirement is to develop and implement best practice models for social workers to improve their effectiveness of managingfamily proceeding with the minimum of supervision and guidance.Manchester established a Case Progression Manager post in 2012 with the aim of reducing the duration of care proceedings, have fewer hearings, improve communication, change culture and inject urgencywhere needed to improve outcomes and permanence planning for children. Its a role we have held with significant importance and are pleased to confirm as part of our ongoing commitment to delivering Our Healthier Manchester Locality Plans and Locality Modelsthe creation of two permanent FTE G9 Case Progression Manager roles for Central and South Localities. Use your experience to help make a positive difference, work closely with legal colleagues, have a seat at the Local Family Justice Board, influence change,report on performance, be creative and solution focussed and help us to improve consistency of best practice across our Directorate.
