Job Description

CaretakerCovering Lewisham, Bromley and CroydonSalary of £24,000 paHyde is looking to recruit a Caretaker.Hyde is one of the UK’s leading and award-winning providers of affordable homes in London, the South-East, and surrounding areas. Our ethos is simple: by providing customers with a safe and decenthome, it allows them to realize their potential, enjoy their environment, and contribute to their community.As a Caretaker, your main purpose is to provide an effective and proactive caretaking service, maintaining excellent living conditions for residents and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all communal areas to a presentable standard, including cleaning windows, doors, floors, and bin stores.
  • Undertake general caretaking duties, including gardening and cleaning communal areas such as car parks, lifts, and bin stores.
  • Supervise access for contractors, ensuring timely reporting and repair.
  • Monitor security on-site, including door entry systems and car park entrances.
  • Act as a liaison between residents and internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of property-related issues.
  • Assist with access for gas servicing and Fire Risk Assessment monitoring.
Skills and experience required:
  • Proficient use Microsoft programs, including outlook and word.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential as you will be covering areas in SE London
  • Able to effectively communicate with residents, as well as internal stakeholders
  • Experience working in for a housing association or local authority (desirable)
