#workfromhomePosition: C++ Developer - LinuxSuitable for: C++ Developer/ C++ Software Engineer/ Software Developer with minimum 2 years C++ experience (on Linux)Location: York or remote working from Aylesbury/Oxford/Gloucester/London areaSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOEThis is an exciting opportunity to work for a new highly innovative technology development company who are looking to expand their development team with a C++ Developer/ C++ Software Engineer/ Software Developer.In terms of location, they will consider someone who wants to work in York (or remotely near York) where the head office is or someone on a remote working basis particularly if they were based somewhere in the South - close to Oxford/Aylesbury/ Gloucester or Central/North/West London area.The Role:C++ Developer/ C++ Software Engineer/ Software Developer will be working in all stages of the software development lifecycle; maintaining and enhancing the core system and design & develop new features. There will be specific involvement working with their third-party partner software development company and on occasions meeting customers at client sitesEssential Skills:As a C++ Developer/ C++ Software Engineer/ Software Developer the following experience and skills are essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as C++ Developer or C++ Software Developer on Linux platform
  • Experience with development of data processing C++ application
  • Familiarity with multithreaded programming
  • Familiar with OpenCV C++ programming
  • Python or PHP
  • RESTFUL API to write client code
  • PostgreSQL programming in C/C++
  • Basic knowledge of image processing and pattern matching
  • Ideally to have experience on neural network and deep learning. Familiar with inter-process data communication
  • Full lifecycle of software design and development
    • Desirable Skills:As a C++ Developer/ C++ Software Engineer/ Software Developer the following skills and experience are desirable:
  • Middleware: PHP, SQL, Web programming, RESTFUL API’s. Ideally familiarity with internet security
  • Web based client portal: web programming
  • Video management: Python (currently using Python but can also be changed to C++). Familiarity with video real time streaming and video/image format conversion
  • Software testing: Google Test
  • Application deployment: Docker, Microsoft Azure
  • UI and mobile app: web programming, Android application development
  • Further services: Javascript, familiar with web programming
