C# Developer / .Net Programmer / WPF Developer - C#, WPF, WVVM, WCF, SQL Server, GUI Code Development. Full Life Cycle: Design & Development, Permanent, London, £50k - £55k +Bonus +Extensive Benefits Global Financial Services Company currently seeks a C# Developer / .Net Programmer / WPF Developer to work within the full life cycle of WPF development taking client requirements, designing technical specifications prior to undertaking development, testing and implementation of client facing, data intensive systems for internal and external clients of the corporation. Working within a small team the C# Developer / .Net Programmer / WPF Developer will work on the refactoring of an system which holds policies, premiums, claims and financial transactions, which was built on C#, .Net and PowerBuilder some time ago into a contemporary WPF platform using all modern methods and functions. The C# Developer / .Net Programmer / WPF Developer will design and develop front-end form functionality using WPF, C#, MVVM, and WCF calling data from the core SQL Server database environment. The initial plan is to wrap stored procedure calls into services and over time, replace the stored procedures with code. You will be comfortable undertaking such tasks as well as developing strong user interfaces within WPF desktop applications. We are searching for a C# Developer / .Net Programmer / WPF Developer who has solid experience delivering WPF applications with C# and where they have played a hands-on role in the design and development of the front end, business focussed, user interfaces. You will be comfortable with WVVM, WCF, SQL Server and related tools. You may have gained some experience with PowerBuilder in the past but this is non-essential. Excellent communication skills, business UI design and development skills and full stack C#.Net programming abilities are pre-requisite. You may have been working within a corporate end-user environment, Insurance company, financial services company, web development agency, outsource consultancy or similar client-focussed organisation and may have gained experience of refactoring applications as well as building WPF apps from scratch. Experience gained in Agile environments applying TDD (Test-Driven-Development) techniques would be highly beneficial.
