They offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services - including current accounts, savings, mortgages, loans and credit cards.Job Description SummarySoftware engineer working within the Market Data Feature team. This team builds and maintains a key in house Market Data platform which stores and distributes internal and external data throughout the Markets space. Working closely with the Markets Businessareas to understand and deliver against current and future business requirements and provide second line platform support. The main underpinning technologies used are C#.net and the OneTick market data database.Our aim is to create a forward-thinking engineering culture that supports the business in delivering high quality, efficient and positive impact outcomes for customers. The role of our Principle Software Engineers and Chapter Leads are vital in ensuring theproducts we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect.You will be working within the Risk and Valuation Lab within the Markets Value Stream.What youll do:* Work with the Product owner and Feature team to deliver change on our Market Data System using an agile delivery approach.* Work in a cross-disciplinary feature teams delivering customer driven solutions and high quality software.* Showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst efficiently working across the project life cycle to ensure software operates as intended.* Work hands-on alongside engineering colleagues to understand and develop their own technical domain knowledge and takes responsibility for their actions.* Exercise responsibility, autonomy and judgement within broad, but well defined parameters.* Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex and often non-routine.* Be a quick learner who can learn and adapt to new technologies being used inhouse and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.* Understand the importance of quality and hence create and implement approaches, guidelines, principles defined by themselves and their Engineering and Chapter Lead peers.* Continually develop yourself with industry best practice in order to advance the direction of Software Engineering inhouse What we are looking for:* Software engineer with excellent C#.net development skills* A keen advocate of Agile delivery practices* Experience across the entire solutions development life-cycle from inception, through build to production* You appreciate and acknowledge the impact of system design decisions on scalability, resilience and supportability* Experience of API design, architecture patterns and market data technologies (i.e Bloomberg Data License, Refinitiv TREP etc)* Excellent communication skillsPreferable if you also have:* OneTick database experience.* Experience of the Market Data business area.Candidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.Pontoon is an employment consultancy and operates as an equal opportunitys employer.Please email me
