Job Description

Are you a qualified Business Studies Teacher looking for a role at an Outstanding school in the New YearProspero Teaching are looking for a Business Studies Teacher to join a Secondary School in the Wandsworth area for January 2021.The school is modern and innovative, but with old-fashioned values. Its aim is to shape the lives of students by providing students with the best possible academic outcomes from outstanding courses and - crucially - the experiences and guidance that will help them become resilient, resourceful, reflective and respectful, emotionally intelligent global citizens.It will be in its seventh academic year in 2020-21 and has established itself as one of the highest performing schools in London, judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted in 2018. In 2016-17, it was ranked 4th highest school in England for pupil progress and the top non-selective school nationally, and achieved a provisional figure of +1.40 for Progress 8 in 2018-19: nearly three times higher than the +0.5 threshold set by OfSTED for Outstanding.THE ROLEThey now seek a committed professional who has a real passion for Business with vibrant enthusiasm to work with their brilliant students. This position is ideal for either an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher. An NQT/teacher will receive the excellent support of an internal academy CPD programme but also externally across the Federation. You will join a very positive, willing and committed team who will challenge and support you.

  • Hours - 8:30am - 4pm, plus parents evenings, school trips/events
    • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • A dedicated and skilled Business teacher who has the potential to deliver up to L3 CTEC Business
  • A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role
  • A collaborative and driven individual who will support the Business team
  • A teacher who would like the opportunity to progress their career
  • QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
    • TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
