Job Description

Business Operations Manager

  • 12 month contract
  • £50 ph (full time)
  • Inside IR35
  • Bonus: Spanish and/or Italian speaking (Portuguese and/or French as a second preference).
We are thrilled to present this compelling contract opportunity for the role of Business Operations Lead with our global Payments client.This key leadership position involves providing crucial support to the Southern European markets, covering France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, along with corresponding large enterprise sales leadership teams.Reporting directly to the Head of Business Operations for the UK and Southern Europe, this role is an integral part of the broader European and Australia Enterprise Sales organisation.Responsibilities:As the Business Operations Manager, you will:
  • Drive strategic initiatives for Southern Europe in coordination with line managers and leadership teams.
  • Consulting/banking experience - commercial acumen.
  • Analytical skills and Presentation skills.
  • Develop business cases to underpin and support commercial workstreams and initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional projects for Southern Europe (SEU).
  • Facilitate agenda setting and cross-functional collaboration with the SEU Sales team.
  • Support SEU leadership teams in overarching topics such as preparing executive presentations and workshop preparation.
  • Lead or support specific business operations initiatives across Europe & Australia.
  • Collaborate and improve best practices with other team members of the Europe & Australia Business Operations team.
  • Leverage internal and external data to provide actionable commercial insights for revenue growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities and initiatives that will support the growth of merchants and the market.
  • Work with multiple other business functions to deliver and implement identified actionable insights and initiatives.
  • Support Finance and local business teams with budget planning.
  • Work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance to provide an overview of risks and opportunities in the sales pipeline.
  • Drive accountability with sales teams to achieve their sales targets.
Bonus: Payment’s experience - but this can be trained.Bonus: Spanish and/or Italian speaking (Portuguese and/or French as a second preference).To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • Strategy Consulting, Banking, Finance, Economics background strongly preferred.
  • Very strong commercial and analytical acumen.
  • Strong presentation skills and comprehensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Matrix management skills - ability to work with peers, manage upwards and downwards.
  • Motivation to find solutions to issues and take ownership of topics until they are resolved.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong preference for Italian and/or Spanish speakers.
  • Bonus if you speak French and/or Portuguese.
  • A natural curiosity about developments in the FinTech and payments markets would be desirable.
