RoleThe Business Manager reports to the Head of International for Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM). The Business Manager will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives, high priority projects and activities related legal entity administration. Thisrole will focus on leveraging the Head of International, global leadership peers and cross functional teams to advance business priorities and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business intelligence, project management and day-to-day execution. Understanding the intricacies of various functional areas will be critical in order to facilitate effective cross-functional and cross-businessunit collaboration and enable efficient and informed decision-making. The role will support and serve as an advisor to the Head of International - liaising with key stakeholders, conducting research and analysis, and collaborating with senior business leaderson key initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head of International, providing advice and helping to develop and manage business priorities, initiatives and duties related to legal entities administration.
  • Manage relationships with important stakeholders, including internal staff, board members, and external industry bodies to ensure smooth interactions.
  • Serve as a representative for the Head of International at key internal and external engagements.
  • Assist with internal and external communication ensuring that messaging is clear and consistent.
  • Provide various forms of research, analysis, and data to track and monitor business results.
  • Work with International leadership teams in the development of long-term strategic plans for the organization.
  • Lead and/or assist with high priority projects and initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Asset Management background is highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of the investment management industry, across all asset classes and investor segments globally
  • Critical thinker with superior problem solving abilities who is able to organize and manage people and resources to effectively prioritize issues and respond to senior management, Boards and key stakeholders
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn new concepts quickly and, complete multiple and diverse assignments with the highest level of quality
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and navigate multiple stakeholders and competing objectives
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Strong communication written/oral skills, ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and concise manner
  • Ability to engage a diverse set of stakeholders, build long-term relationships, and create a collaborative and approachable environment
  • Ability to think strategically, execute with precision and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
