Job Description

Business Intelligence Developer - data transformation and integrationRare opportunity for a business intelligence developer with a strong technical data skillset, to join this large, market-leading multinational group, who provide services to millions of people internationally daily. This is a purely project focused position, with a great deal of variety, supporting the delivery of innovative business intelligence solutions utilising bleeding-edge technology (AWS stack) to businesses across the group. A unique opportunity to work in a consulting capacity, whilst retaining fantastic work/life balance (35 hour-week with flexible working).What Youll be doingYour work will support the adoption of the groups new business intelligence platform (being run centrally aaS), delivering business intelligence solutions to a wide variety of business functions across the group businesses, pulling data from a wide array of source systems from ERP (SAP, workday) to streaming (navigation and geolocation systems) and all-sorts in-between. Working in a highly capable, multi-disciplinary team, in Agile, your focus will be on developing integration and data processing pipelines. Whilst work will span ETL activities across the full project lifecycle from requirements, through to deployment, the focus of your position will very much be on data transformation and modelling.The role will focus on delivering BI integration and data processing pipelines on an enterprise scale, that feed into the centralised Data / Business intelligence service, which is built on an AWS platform. You will perform a key role in the transformation and development of vital data across the entire group.Key job functions will include;

  • Working as part of a dynamic (agile scrum) team delivering Data processing and Integration Pipeline projects through the complete development lifecycle.
  • Transforming and modelling data from a range of sources to enable users to access a unified visualisation of data in one place. (Quicksight)
  • Executing key data analysis in order to support the design of Data processing and integration pipelines.
  • Developing and deploying integration pipelines between systems and data warehouse, and also data processing pipelines within the data warehouse
  • Working across multiple different teams to document, map and design each pipelined project.
  • Documentation of functional specifications, data model designs, interface specifications, wireframes etc
  • What is our client looking for
  • Exceptional knowledge of programming and scripting languages, Python is essential and ideally, youll have experience with PySpark and Javascript.
  • Sound technical knowledge of integrations and data processing in a variety of environments including OLTP & OLAP.
  • Experience of developing and deploying interfaces to and from transactional systems.
  • Experience of Data Warehousing on AWS Services and Technologies (S3, Glue, Redshift, Step Functions etc.)
  • A sound understanding of general IT landscape across applications, networks, databases and connectivity.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills to engage and present with company stakeholders.
  • What do you get out of itSalary of up to £60,000 per annum.The role will be based in central London (post-covid. WFH for now).
