This will allow businesses to make decisions to become more environmentally friendly.Pre-Sales EngineerThe Business Development Pre-Sales Engineer will support the Business Development Team. In this newly-created role, the Solutions Engineer will report to the Sales Director where you will be the technical lead, help to win deals, and drive new business growth. There is a preference for someone with previous experience with satellite imagery or geospatial information, but domain-specific training can be provided for strong candidates. There may be a requirement to travel at times, up to one week at a time, with enough notice given. Maximum travel requirement up to 50% of the time.RESPONSIBILITIES* Sell/upsell products/solutions to customers and their technical experts * Evaluate and influence customers requirements and guide them on the relevant product or service* Create technical presentations and data demonstrations to highlight the value of the products and services* Represent the company at events and conferences, providing demos and manning booths * Attend customer visits and maintain existing, long-term relationships as a trusted advisor to their business* Technical proposal writing including response to tenders, RFIs, RFPs * Work independently and in a team environment, collaborating closely with the Business Development team to develop account plans and strategy* Ad-hoc tasks as requested from time to timeRequirements* Experience in technical product support, pre-sales engineering or business development * Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills * Strong geospatial technical expertise in GIS & remote sensing software and applications * Experience with ESRI products and services * Strong judgment and decision-making skills * The ability to interact successfully across cultures * Strong self-starter personality, not afraid of being tenacious and resilient. * Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively * Desire to learn and work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment * Strong problem-solving skillsAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
