Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in bringing innovative real estate financing and investment products to the market by designing and executing customer and business growth strategies. You will apply your business acumen, creativity,and relationship building skills to cultivate new distribution partnerships and manage existing relationships. You will play an active role in ideating creative ways to bring our product to the customers at scale.Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver against the revenue growth strategy focusing on distribution partner referrals and application submissions and completions in terms of satisfaction and value, by researching, identifying, sourcing and originating leads for theproperty financeteam.
  • Building strong relationships with distribution partners through face-to-face, and online interaction, ensuring they understand our property finance and process in order to maximise the opportunity.
  • Being a point of contact / account manager for distribution partners, dealing with day-to-day enquiries, and assisting with criteria acceptances and affordability as well as updates.
  • Keeping up to date with market / competitor information and providing feedback with the wider BDM team that help shape the proposition on a continuous basis.
  • Contribute to broader marketing activities including events, roadshows, online content development and outreach campaigns in collaboration with our marketing teams.
  • Monitoring and progressing enquiries and highlighting issues with breaches and non-compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor degree and 5+ years of B2B business development / relationship management experience in real estate finance.
  • Experience working with intermediaries (mortgage brokers), either in a sales or relationship management role.
  • Able to both close new deals and cultivate existing relationships.
  • Detailed understanding of mortgage, lending and investment products.
  • Ability to present compelling narrative through pitch documents and presentations.
  • Creative and self-motivated individual with a passion for finding creative solutions to issues.
  • Demonstratable experience in building relationships, spotting opportunities and negotiating partnership models to support strategic objectives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a good understanding of retail banking business practices.
  • Confident communicator, both in-person and in written form, with professional presence and ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
  • CeMAP qualification would be an advantage but not essential.
