A major International bank based in London. Description Business Data Analyst primary responsibilities include: Assist with monthly data extract process in order to provide data and metrics in relation to the IBOR transition project and other regulatory projects going forward Assist the Finance Transformation team processes for the design, development support, testing and maintenance of any IBOR project related business requirements that are provided from the data warehouse Document specifications, and undertake UAT and implementation testing for various new developments related to the IBOR project Creation of ad-hoc reporting to enable the regulatory stakeholders to perform a number of simple queries across the data warehouse Support the IBOR project by amending existing and/or developing and documenting new operational procedures around new functionality delivered related to IBOR Co-ordinate with other BAs, DBAs, developers, business users, IT etc on the IBOR Transition project Maintenance of various aspects of MIS related to IBOR requirements only, including updating tables and queries as necessary Assist in planning and resourcing of system testing required in relation to the IBOR Transition project and reconcile data flows into the Oracle general ledger and MIS systems Develop and maintain good working relationships with all IBOR stakeholders and the wider organisation Provide assistance to Finance functions within the European division for any IBOR queries only Other Ad hoc IBOR project tasks as required by the IBOR Project Manager Able to explain data presentation/analysis at an appropriate level for the audience Profile Business Data Analyst specifications:Education, Skills & Experience Educated to degree level Strong communication skills both written and verbal, combined with proven analytical skills Experience of participating in regulatory driven and/or systems project teams. Proven ability to work collaboratively to gain agreement and resolve conflict Must be able to take own initiative but also willing to support and take direction when working with a project manager Resilient to work under pressure in order to meet regulatory deadlines. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility to move between "big picture" thinking and handling detailed tactical information. Able to work collaboratively in teams, analyse data and rapidly understand complex systems. Specialist technical skills Previous experience of data analysis or modelling Ability to create and edit Access databases including creating and editing queries and tables Ability to create and edit spreadsheets and write Excel functions, perform VLOOKUPs and produce pivot tables in Excel Exposure to SQL desirable Previous experience in accounting and finance, with qualification desirable Experience Previous experience of working in or auditing a Financial Services Institution. Previous experience of data analysis or modelling Job Offer This role is INSIDE IR35.Paying £400 - 450 per day
