Job Description

Join us as a Business Change Manager

  • This is an opportunity to join the Wealth Business Transformation team as a business change manager in a collaborative and innovative team
  • Youll be leading change and business readiness for various Wealth strategic programmes and operating model transformation initiatives
  • Youll be working with senior leaders regularly and a range of stakeholders of varying seniority
What youll doYoull be responsible for implementing and embedding change into the business by making sure that changes to people, process and technology are thoroughly understood, smoothly implemented and that the lasting benefits of change are achieved. Youll also prepare and take ownership for all implementation plans, controls and resource plans, making sure that theyre in-line with any wider programme plans and controls. Youll also:
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Make sure that there is a clear understanding of the reasons for change and help the accountable stakeholders communicate change to the relevant business areas
  • Focus on the wider impacts of change particularly on people and how they, as individuals and teams, move from the current state to the new one
  • Own, define, establish and coordinate the project implementation management process and all the business readiness and change activities, according to implementation plan
  • Work with stakeholders to design transitional business processes and transition states that minimise the impact on the business
The skills youll needYoull need experience of working in the design, delivery and leadership of complex change delivery, proven leadership and strong decision making skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively and break down silos. In addition, youll have excellent influencing skills and the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and act as an agent of change to achieve the best outcome. Youll have strong communication skills and relationship techniques, alongside a high levelof planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and plan workloads. Youll also need:
  • Proven success in managing complex transformational change
  • Expertise in driving operating model transformation through people, process and technology
  • Strong understanding of technology enablement and digital capabilities
  • Ability to present content confidently and expertly at bank-wide and specific events
  • A strong internal network and an understanding of the frontline business and wider functions and processes
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • A background of successful engagement in direct and matrix people management
