Job Description

Our ambition is to create an organisation that our tenants really value.This Business Change and Improvements Manager will sit within a newly formed Corporate Change team and report to the Head of Corporate Change and PMO who is responsible for delivering our organisation-wide modernisation programme.The main duties of your role will include:

  • Collaborating with colleagues within the wider Business Excellence and Innovation Directorate to form a high performing function that supports delivery of our strategic goals
  • Challenging the status quo, initiating new ways of working, taking colleagues at all levels with you to ensure change is long lasting and makes a real difference to our customers
  • Leading change projects and service improvement reviews, from scoping and assembling multi-disciplinary teams to implementation and delivery
  • Understanding current performance, the levers for change and predictive analytics to support delivery of change projects
  • Developing and overseeing the organisations change management methodology, building in a strategically aligned approach to achieving customer outcomes
  • Championing and role modelling agile ways of working, user centred service design, driving customer focus, collaboration and high performance
  • Tracking of outcome focused measures to gauge organisation performance and progress
  • Joining up how we use business intelligence, data and customer insight to learn, improve, predict, plan and make the best decisions we can
  • Nurturing talent through coaching and personal development, helping our colleagues to maximise their potential
  • Valuing and championing equality and diversity within the workforce and our customer base
  • RequirementsWe are looking for a strong project or programme manager with a passion for improving customer service. Someone with a can-do attitude who will keep a clear focus on the bigger strategic picture, with their head in the clouds but feet on the ground. We are looking for a leader who will take the organisation on a journey, a positive and pragmatic individual with strong resilience who can overcome challenges. Someone who can translate innovative ideas into practical actions and deliver them. Other skills we are looking for include:
  • Experience of developing strategic and operational metrics, tracking organisation and service performance and driving improvement
  • Skilled in embedding and influencing change into an organisation is key whilst delivering technical and non-technical projects
  • A track record of user centred service design and customer journey mapping
  • A background in improving customer experience, outcomes and business efficiency
  • Well-developed data analysis skills
  • Experience of strategic and service planning and working with colleagues to generate ownership and accountability for delivery
  • Knowledge of the housing sector would be an advantage but a similar sector background and ability to adapt is essential
  • Qualifications:Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or Prince2 and in depth experience in cross-functional project management is essential.As well as this, we expect all our employees to live our company values:Respectful: Be willing to understand others.
