Purpose of RoleThis role will work closely with the Data Strategy Lead to drive the business and cultural changes necessary to improve data literacy, adoption and use. Through business implementation plans, training programmes and a structured programme of internal communications,the role holder will work across all functions within the EMEA division and interface with other divisions including the Americas and Asia to embed the changes delivered through all data strategy projects.This role will combine data & analytics subject knowledge with highly developed communication and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders (General Managers/Managing Directors) and their teams to communicate the benefits of improved data use andto ensure the effective implementation and adoption of new data services.It is an exciting time to join the organisation and real recognition of the need to use their data better. If you want to drive the change, you could be the ideal person!BackgroundThe EMEA Data Office was established just over a year ago within the Operations, Planning and Data Department and is responsible for building out the Banks data management capabilities across all EMEA entities (including Securities and Banking subsidiaries)and all datasets.The Data Office initially concentrated on building foundational governance through improved Data Architecture, Data Management and Data Quality but is ultimately committed to exploiting data more effectively and innovatively across The Bank, to drive new waysof working and improved business outcomes. A Data Strategy Lead was appointed in February 2023 with primary responsibility for defining the Data Strategy and providing the capabilities, tools and data operating model needed to be successful. The Data CultureLead will report to the Data Strategy Lead.The Data Office has been formed to really drive data-led transformation through the bank, and this is a great opportunity to join at the early stages of this exciting journey.Accountabilities & Responsibilities
