Business Analyst role with Asset Management firm

Job Description

This position will be a key figure across the business, being heavily involved with launching new funds, working closely with the risk team and acting as the point of contact of the company for various external counterparties.The successful applicants role will primarily be split within three key areas:

  • Business Process Change Management: Manage the changes in existing business processes due to several factors including launching/closing of new funds and accounts, opening new accounts with existing counterparties, and changes to third-partyservice providers. This will also include oversight of the required documentation process management including firmwide trading documents, ISDA protocols, Custody Market opening and LEI maintenance. Additionally, the role will involve working closely in coordinationwith technology change management to ensure downstream operational work flows and controls are implemented successfully.
  • Internal Controls Assurance: Assist the Head of Operational Risk Management in the continuing development and implementation of the Operational Risk Management and Mitigation framework, working closely with the Operations BAU and TechnologyChange Management teams to ensure that any changes are correctly documented and implemented appropriately. Additionally, this role will include liaison with the firms assurance auditors and therefore contribution to the ongoing success of the firms ISAE3402controls report will be a key deliverable.
  • Governance controls: For several internal committees, maintain accurate minutes and follow up on action points with the relevant teams/staff ensuring that deliverables are met within the required timeframes. Additionally, this role willhave a direct input to the firms Outsourcing Committee and therefore coordination of the various MIS metrics in advance of these meetings will be required.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ideally between 1-5 years of buy side operations/middle office experience
  • A good knowledge of the internal operational processes of investment management firm
  • Degree educated in a relevant field
  • Strong communication skills and experience liaising with various different departments across a business
