Job Description

Business Analyst, Insurance - Health and Wellbeing City of London / HybridCirca £575 per day - Outside IR35Business Analyst is sought by thriving insurance group for an initial 6-month contract (outside IR35). Our client is currently onboarding several large acquisitions, and you will be required to assist with the health and benefits workstream, as well as beinvolved with requirements management activities on a related technology project, which aims to implement a new trading system.Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements gathering and analysis for strategic aims, using a variety of methodologies: (traditional requirements, user stories. backlog building, backwards and forwards traceability.)
  • Planning, managing and running workshops, interviews and prototyping sessions in order to elicit requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining requirements documentation, which can be used to gain stakeholder agreement as well as provide suitable information to developers to build / configure products.
  • Becoming the expert in the systems requirements during the implementation of a project.
  • Performing the full requirements lifecycle - elicitation, analysis, documentation and management (in conjunction with Applied Systems vendor)
  • Managing scope and requirements changes during implementation and adhering to change governance.
  • Production of suitable requirements appendices such as use cases, process diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Co-operating with project managers / owners in producing business cases and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Outline solution options and make recommendations.
  • Assisting project managers with PIDs, full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
  • Configuration of business systems and liaising with the support team
  • Supporting the development Providing training and production of reference documentation for new systems.
  • Provision of comprehensive data analysis and compiling reports and presentations to support projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience of working as a business analyst throughout the whole lifecycle of projects from start-up to benefits realisation.
  • Experience in the implementation of complex corporate & transactional trading solutions for large insurance organisations. For example CRM, broking, underwriting and document management systems
  • Experience of being solely responsible for the running of workshops and managing discussions with confidence and leadership.
  • Proven experience of business process mapping, gap analysis and operating model tasks within projects. Confident with modelling techniques (e.g. BPMN, UML)
  • Domain knowledge of general insurance processes.
  • A fair level of IT knowledge - e.g. enterprise architecture and technology trends
  • Good knowledge of current insurance and trends and market challenges.
  • Experience using or working on projects related to trading systems such as EPIC, Global XB, Sector, Brokasure or SharePoint products.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality business analysis objectives and meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of workflow design & Implementation of new workflows
