An international broadcast entertainment company in London is looking for two Broadcast Support Engineers to join its growing team. Working in a hands-on technical role, the Broadcast Support Engineers will be responsible for providing 1st line support to all broadcast services covering playout (both traditional and IP based systems), distribution and streaming technologies. You will be tasked with maintaining a hybrid baseband video/audio and IT infrastructure, ensuring all broadcast services are maintained, delivering the best possible services at all times. Alongside this, you will also provide first line support to MCR, production technology, encoding, multiplexing and RF as well as performing configuration and troubleshooting to operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac.To be considered for this role, our client is looking for individuals who are educated to degree level or equivalent in a Broadcast Engineering or Computer Science related discipline. Candidates who are IT savvy and have ideally got experience administering Windows servers and Active Directory will be of particular interest. It is also important that candidates have good technical broadcast knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex playout servers, distribution systems or baseband video/audio. Any network troubleshooting or knowledge of virtual environments and cloud based technology will also be highly advantageous.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation who have the very best brands in television and entertainment.
