Job Description

Your New Job Title: Brand Identity DirectorYour New Daily rate: up to £642 PAYE or £840 umbrella (inside IR35) * equivalent of up to £167k per annumDuration: Long term temporary assignment until 31/03/2022Location: WFH then 2 days a week in West London from September 2021Start date: ASAPWorking hours: 37.5 hoursJob posting ID: JP89539Who youll be working for:Our client a Major FTSE100 of ours who have fantastic offices in west London are looking for a Brand Identity Director who will lead the development and delivery of a compelling, distinctive and consistent visual identity to protect the brand experience and support corporate reputation goals.What youll be doing each day:

  • Support the Head of Creative Content and Visual Identity in developing a creative style and visual identity for the company
  • Lead the development of the Brand Visual Identity and ensure its effective implementation across the company across internal and external channels
  • Champion design excellence across digital and offline channels, working with stakeholders, the in-house design team, and agencies to deliver a distinctive and consistent brand experience.
  • Apply learning from other industry experts to ensure the Visual Identity is best in class, modern and able to communicate the complexity and breadth of communications created by the business
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of brand guideline documents, assets and materials to support stakeholders in using and applying the visual identity
  • Ensure broad understanding and compliance with the visual identity, including answering questions and managing conversations with stakeholders across the company around VI compliance
  • Day-to-day decision-maker around where materials are and are not compliant with the company’s visual identity - escalating to the Head of Creative Content and Visual Identity only in certain instances
  • Oversee the development of materials about the company and its strategy, ensuring a consistent set of materials is available for us across the company
  • Lead engagement with Legal to ensure the right Trademark coverage is in place and identify and challenge breaches
  • Oversee Brand Hub management, ensuring it delivers for all stakeholders
  • Lead on agency VI guidance and quality control, with close links to Procurement to ensure compliance and measurement of agency performance with appropriate KPI’s.
  • Oversee the management of agencies and partners delivering visual identity materials and support
  • Work with VI Manager, Designer and Content Producers in the Creative Content and Visual Identity team to deliver the above
  • The skills you need to succeed:
  • Extensive experience and a proven track record in leading and managing a brand visual identity across a complex organisation, FTSE100 or equivalent
  • Experience in the creation of a visual identity, the brand management process, the strategic role of visual identity and the implementation of a visual identity across a complex organisation
  • Experience of working with designers and leading design projects end to end
  • Expert understanding of design and brand asset management
  • Experience in engaging with internal stakeholders around brand and visual identity compliance
  • Strong influencing skills with senior stakeholders (VP and above)
