Job Title: Binding Authority TechnicianLocation: London / Remote WorkingDivision: Worldwide PropertyJob Type: Permanent - Full TimeJob Outline:Responsible for providing binder technical support in the Worldwide Property Division dealing with Property and Liability business emanating Worldwide but mostly from North America, including catastrophe exposed areasRole responsibilities:Check Client record is set up in the broking system, preparing approval forms where necessaryPrepare renewal presentations for brokers to submit to underwritersPrepare binder Market Reform Contracts, including profit commissions and handling any relevant endorsements, portfolio transfers, working in conjunction with internal & external stakeholdersUndertake renewal and ad hoc statistical analysis as requiredRegister Binding Authorities in BARSComplete compliance annual updates and new applications within AtlasProvide evidence of cover to clients and complete the validation processLog special acceptances on the broking system,File all documents using e-filing system in a timely manner and archive older paper filesRespond to routine enquires from Client and Underwriters in a timely mannerMonitor coordinated audits on AiMSDevelop and maintain effective relationships with Brokers and Directors within the divisionDevelop and maintain effective relationships with Operations and IBA staff, providing guidance as requiredKeep abreast of market and regulatory and tax requirements relating to the portfolioEnsure compliance with external and internal guidelines and procedures at all timesSkills & knowledge: Previous experience handling non-marine property or liability binding authorities within the Lloyd’s marketPrevious experience of preparing Binding Authority slips and endorsementsWorking knowledge of CrystalWorking knowledge of Binding Authority wordings and clausesKnowledge of Global XB (desirable)Knowledge of Binder Cloud or DA SATS (desirable)An understanding of risk modelling/exposure management (desirable)Proficient user of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and ExcelFamiliar with Atlas and BARSKey Competencies:Understanding the customerCommunicating & Influencing skillsData and Management InformationCustomer FocusDecision MakingTeam WorkingPlanning & OrganisingInformation Seeking Required skills
