Job Description

BI ManagerLondon, 2 days a week in the office. Up to £65,000 + Competitive Bonus & Benefits THE COMPANY This is a unique chance for you to join a multinational Analytics FTSE100, providing scientific, technical, and medical analytics, operating in over 40 countries. This is a renowned company, owning various subsidiaries across multiple industries, includingtheir global events company. Their global events company host a series of B2B events and exhibitions - putting on 300+ shows each year, across travel, technology, marketing and more. Joining the team as a BI Manager, youll be a key member of the new analyticsand reporting team, leading/working with data engineers and report developers, aiding the development of the analytics capabilities within the UK arm.THE ROLEAs BI Manager you will lead project management, utilising the resources available to further develop the analytics capabilities for the UK. You will work with the global technology team across the AWS architecture, ensuring correct infrastructure is in placefor reporting to be developed, whilst also being hands on with reporting, being the bridge between the business needs and technology to create an insight driven strategy.Main Responsibilities:

  • Aid and support the global tech team with the transition and development of AWS architecture, creating a data warehouse on top of the AWS cloud.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dynamic interactive Power BI dashboards that effectively communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Design and implement optimal data infrastructure, including data models, schemas, hierarchies, and reporting frameworks with Power BI.
  • Develop data insight strategies using SQL and AWS data lake and apply data mining techniques with SQL and machine learning to uncover valuable insights.
KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong hands on dashboarding and visualisation experience with Power BI
  • Expertise in data architecture principles, data modeling, data warehousing, and data management systems.
  • Strong SQL skills including AWS S3 Bucket, Athena, and AWS Glue
  • Commercial focus, having driven strategy development
