Our department is looking for new team members to join the Support Services Porters Team.The post holders will provide an efficient portering service to the Trust and its associated facilities. As a General Porter you will report directly to the Support Services Team Leaders. Responding to job allocations received electronically, you will also carry out and respond to internal bleep/audio messages in order to facilitate effective communication. The post holder will be required to convey patients between departments whilst respecting patient confidentiality.Candidates will have relevant experience of portering within the healthcare sector, hotel industry or a similar environment and also have extensive experience of dealing with the public.Successful applicants will be expected to work at the Royal Free Hospital, carrying out services in a professional, efficient, friendly and polite manner, in line with our ‘world class care’ values.Preferred shift pattern will need to be specified during the application process.
