Job Description

Backend Engineer (AI/Simulation) - Rust/Python/Java£70,000 - £120,000 + Stock Options (multiple positions available) London2 days a week in the officeAre you a Backend Engineer with experience working within AI and/or Simulation We want to hear from you!My client are a contemporary Security and AI company that have secured 9 figures in funding, they are firm believers that artificial intelligence is the key to keeping liberal democracies from harm. Theyre on a mission to bring Europes best tech talent together to help tackle some of the toughest problems in defence technology. As a Backend Engineer you will help push the limit of what is possible through AI.We are looking for Backend Engineers that have:

  • Strong backend architecture and development experience with Rust, Python, Jaca, or C++
  • Experience working with API and serialisation frameworks such as REST, GraphQL, gRPC/protobuf, Arrow
  • Great pride in writing maintainable, and performant code that adheres to coding standards
You will design, implement, and operate real-world solutions that push the barriers of AI, working to manage the complexities while keeping systems fast, reliable, and scalable. In this exciting Backend Engineer role, you will get the chance to work across a variety of exciting defence projects:
  • Design and implement real-time data and processing systems
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs for user facing applications
  • Make the software workbuilding and deploying systems over algorithms and databases, to deployment, metrics, and operations.
