Job Description

Job SummaryAWS DevOps EngineerRole DescriptionAn industry leading FinTech start-up are looking to hire an experienced, professional, and enthusiastic AWS DevOps engineer to work on a greenfield project. The role involves hands-on development and support of all aspects of our:

  • AWS infrastructure, including network configuration and access control
  • Continuous integration development environment
  • Build, deployment, monitoring pipeline
Key Skills & ExperienceYou must have previous extensive hands-on experience of supporting and developing multiple AWS infrastructure environments in a commercial environment.
  • Essential: in depth, hands-on experience of core AWS technologies including:
    • Networking
      • VPC, TransitGateway and PrivateLink configuration
      • Network Firewall
      • Route53 DNS Configuration
      • ELB
      • Auto Scaling
      • WAF
    • Access Control
      • IAM
      • KMS
      • Certificate management
    • AWS Services
      • EC2
      • ECR
      • CodeArtifact
      • CloudWatch
      • Lambda
      • S3
      • API Gateway
      • Kinesis
      • RDS
      • MSK
      • Backup
  • Essential: commercial experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Extensive experience in implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available AWS architectures using services like Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, and Multi-AZ deployments, based on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience of designing and developing continuous integration build, test and deployment environments using modern cloud-based tools and techniques including:
    • GitLab
    • Docker / Kubernetes
    • AWS SAM (Serverless Application Model)
  • Experience of building, device hardening and patching Linux AMIs
  • Experience of ELK / Log-aggregation / monitoring
  • Familiar with security frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2)
  • Experience in common scripting language (shell, Python, etc.)
