Job Description

AWS Cloud Architect - 12 Month Contract Outside IR35 - RemoteI am currently working with a Consultancy who are going through incredible growth, and are in need of an AWS Cloud Architect to work on the security architecture surrounding the AWS Cloud platforms. HOWEVER YOU DO NOT NEED A SECURITY BACKGROUND. This organisationwork with both private and public sector organisations to deliver the customer needs which will increase productivity, reach the desired outcomes as well as offering high-end cloud solutions.To be suitable for this vacancy, you will need to be able to design AWS Cloud based solutions and be comfortable operating as a consultant, gathering requirements and presenting solutions for their clients to ensure that the platforms are safe from bothexternal and internal threats. You will also need to have exposure to Amazon Web Services and understand Amazon Servers.Rate - £550 - £600 outside IR35Location - Remote - Travel into London up to twice a monthDuration - 12 Month Contract + ExtEssential Skills for the AWS Cloud ArchitectThe successful candidate will have experience with the following:

  • Designing end to end cloud solutions
  • Hands on AWS experience and designed AWS solutions to a detailed level
  • Experience working closely with Engineers on Cloud projects
  • Experience working with AWS Services - ideally landing zones, control towers and security hub
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong project leadership experience
Desirable Skills for the AWS Cloud ArchitectThe successful candidate will either hold, have experience or knowledge of some if not all of the following:
  • AWS Account hardening guidance
  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform
  • Security compliance
  • Risk management
  • Open source and commercial Security Monitoring (Anti Malware products, NIDS, WAFs, HIDS, etc)
  • Understanding of how to prevent detect and remediate AWS security risks
  • Previously worked within an Agile environment
  • AWS certifications
  • Security certifications
