Job Description

McCabe & Barton are partnered with a leading Clearing & Trading House in recruiting for an Automation Tester on an interim basis. The role will be an initially for a 6 months contract with the view to extend.Key skills and responsibilities:

  • Analyse business and Functional requirements in order to understand the use case / Test case for automation
  • Liaise with Manual Testers to understand the Test Scenarios / Test Cases and also the Test data requirements
  • Write automation files from test cases related to the functionality under change
  • Run test automation suites and debug issues
  • Propose, demonstrate and document best practise
  • Maintain Test execution scripts, documentation and results in the appropriate testing tools.
  • Log, monitor and retest found defects.
  • Provide regular updates on progress and/or issues relating to test activities.
  • Proactively learn new technical or product areas as required and effectively implement in the Test automation framework
  • Extensive experience in automating tests for the complex GUI related applications and API related applications (Such as SOAP & REST APIs)
  • Strong experience in Test Automation tools such as Selenium or Cypress
  • Strong experience in scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, Java, JavaScript or C++
  • Strong experience in parsing XML, JSON, CSV type of files while automating the tests
  • Must have financial services experience, Clearing and Trading experience desirable
  • Good time management skills, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Excellent communication skills to all levels within an organisation, being a clear, assertive, and patient communicator
