***Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Contract - London - Financial Services***Automation QA Engineer6 Months Rolling ContractLondonFinancial Services£Competitive pwd Ltd CompanyWe are currently looking for an Automation QA to start a 6 month rolling ltd contract based in London.Our client has served UK customers for over 50 years with their financial needs. Their services include asset servicing, asset management, private equity and hedge fund administration, broker-dealer services, depositary receipts, corporate trust and treasury services.Job PurposeThe role represents an exciting opportunity to join our clients QA Engineering Group working in one of the technical product teams. We are looking for highly talented engineers to be part of a scrum team delivering business and client focussed full stack solutions and designs. In this client facing role, you should be resourceful, energetic, and ready to hit the ground running. Youll need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well. You should be ready to share ideas and fresh perspectives.

  • Design and delivery of technical solutions with an emphasis on quality, automation and continuous integration
  • Work collectively with peers and contribute to new technical discussions
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, collaborate on requirements, relationships and ensuring that the technology strategy is aligned with business goals and strategy
  • Calmly deal with issues, being happy to get stuck in to help fix issues and assist in identifying causes and effectively dealing with them
    • Key Responsibilities
  • Promote good engineering practices around testability, bug prevention strategies and other quality concepts
  • Work with the team on continually improving the development process with end to end quality in mind
  • Contribute to the development of the testing frameworks to increase automation
  • Automated as much as possible & pragmatically decide what not to automate
  • Promote and measure software quality standards
    • Key Skills
  • Programming experience in Java 8+
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Selenium, RestAPI, etc)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, BDD,TDD)
  • Experience with continuous integration environments & methodologies (CI/CD)
  • Experience with performance, load and security testing
    • Ideally youll be:
  • An advocate of agile engineering principles with a drive for automation
  • A technical polygot with experience of shipping production code across a full-stack environment
  • A fantastic communicator and collaborator, keen to work closely across teams
  • An enthusiastic innovator and creative problem solver, with passion for technology
