Do you have experience overseeing attendance at school level We are currently looking for an Attendance Officer to join a dedicated team. The role is likely to suit somebody seeking to develop in a school environment with attendance related experience. We are working with a large secondary school situated in the Battersea area of the London Borough of Wandsworth who are seeking to appoint an Attendance Officer. This role will commence as soon as possible for the successful applicant with the poteniMain area of responsibility:• Daily monitoring of student attendance.• Contacting parents and carers of the students who are absent. • Recording reasons given for absence. • Sending letters to parents and carers regarding attendance matters.• Liaising with the Educational Welfare Officer to ensure prompt and consistent intervention. Experience and Qualifications:• Good knowledge of attendance policies and procedures. • Knowledge of Management Information Systems.• Experience of the social issues facing students from disadvantaged backgrounds.• Experience of managing attendance.• Experience in a similar role.Next steps:If you have any questions about this opportunity, please submit your application.
