Job Description

The At Retirement and Decumulation Segment Director will act as deputy to the Segment leader and provide overall management and leadership within our team as we seek to further grow our activity with global insurers, reinsurers and private equity investorsactive in the UK, Irish and European Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA), retail and wider decumulation market. The role focuses on strategic advice across the BPA, retail and wider decumulation market helping clients develop business plans, products, support regulatoryapplications, capital and investment strategy, pricing and development of clients target operating model.The RoleThis person will: a principal face for Willis Towers Watson for UK, Ireland Life and Global insurance and reinsurance clients active in this high growth market segment. focus on growth of our client base and revenue, including execution of the segments business plan as deputy will provide leadership, mentoring and development of the At Retirement & Decumulation team lead and work collaboratively with consultants in the UK, Ireland,EMEA region (and globally) to achieve and contribute to the wider ICT performance acrossEMEAKey responsibilities will be as follows:CLIENTS: Proactively build out your and your colleagues network of senior contacts with life insurers, reinsurers and private equity investors active in the UK BPA and wider decumulation segment Leverage your network to grow our client base both existing and potential new entrants to the UK BPA and wider decumulation segment Provide strategic advice to new and existing clients active in this market segment covering product proposition, go to market strategy, regulatory applications, business plans, pricing and investment and capital management solutions that take advantageof our combined technology and consulting offerings Take advantage of current market conditions to develop cross regional offerings working with country and regional sales leads to enhance sales efficiency and growth Collaborate with Marketing to ensure campaigns increase our brand awareness in the UK, Irish, EMEA and other markets, ensuring our solutions and propositions are effectively communicated to the market and known by clients and prospects Ensure quality of delivery of client assignments meets high technical standards with a focus on the commercial implications for our clients, whilst meeting WTW Excellence standards Engage our At Retirement Segment team (and other segment teams) to hear about our clients challenges, and to share in steering the direction and delivery of our At Retirement Segment strategy Engage our proposition focused teams to hear about our ambitions for eachproposition, and to share in leveraging our capabilities for life insurers, reinsurers and private equity clients active in the BPA, retail annuity and wider decumulation sectorFINANCIALS: Meet goals for billable hours, intellectual capital development, and revenue generation Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the value of WTWs offeringsPEOPLE: Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels Develop our senior team by providing guidance and support with technical aspects, client management and new business development Serve as leader and mentor to more junior associates, in particular developing more junior associates in their knowledge of this market segment.EXCELLENCE: Ensure adherence to PE standards in sales process Assist with PE matters in difficult/non-standard assignments (e.g. IPO, successfees, conflicts of interest)Qualifications : FIAEssential: Life insurance experience with demonstrable track record of annuity, longevity and capital management expertise Strong working knowledge of the UK regulatory and financial reporting Strategic vision and business acumen to help our clients grow their portfolios Good leadership and commercial skills with the ability to work with C-Suites Business development mindset with an interest and aptitude for developing new ideas and techniques Foster relationships and earn trust across disciplinary teams withing WTW and clients with a growth mindset Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to lead client pitches and strategic initiatives Ability to make actuarial judgements and justify these judgements to clients and colleagues Willingness to travel to client site when required Proactive, energetic, and can demonstrate being a credible market leader
