Job Description

Associate/Senior Associate 4 years + PQE - InsolvencySalary: £50,000 - £110,000 DOELondon or SouthamptonMonday - FridayWe are excited to be recruiting an Associate/ Senior Associate - Insolvency for our client, a leading law firm with offices in several locations. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing team in either their Southampton or Londonoffices.The team is principally based in the Southampton and London offices. The firm has a notable reputation in the commercial work areas of Real Estate, Marine, Dispute Resolution, Charities and Healthcare.The team handles good quality insolvency, restructuring and solvent reorganisation matters (both contentious and non-contentious), including:

  • Section 110 demergers, members’ voluntary liquidations and corporate group simplification;
  • Debt restructuring, including restructuring plans, CVAs and negotiating with stakeholders;
  • Advice to directors on their duties;
  • Contingency planning;
  • Security reviews and enforcement of security;
  • Insolvency appointments;
  • Business and asset sales;
  • Advising insolvency office holders;
  • Procedural court applications;
  • Pursuing and defending insolvency claims; and
  • Advice to creditors of insolvent businesses.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team. The firm is focussed on finding the right candidate for the team and is therefore flexible on experience level, but the candidate should have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE working withina dedicated restructuring and insolvency team (or predominantly on restructuring and insolvency matters). In addition, you should be confident advising on insolvency transactions and enforcement of security, as well as have experience advising on a broad rangeof issues that typically crop up when acting for insolvency office holders.Agile working was embedded in the team’s culture prior to the pandemic. The firm is therefore willing to consider candidates on a full or part time basis and can offer flexibility in terms of working from home.Package is competitive and tailored according to seniority.
