Associate Fund Accountant - 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Principal ResponsibilitiesReporting and financial:

Supervision of year end fund reporting cycles, including co-ordination and review of quarterly NAVs, US GAAP reconciliations and payment of distributions;
Coordination and oversight of annual financial reporting process, including:
Managing the Funds audits and liaison with auditors
Review of IFRS financial statements
Delivery of audit supporting documents and managing PBC lists
Coordination with 3rd Party Administrators for delivery of Financial Statements to timetable.
Preparation of accounting papers as appropriate
Managing audit risk areas and ensuring controls are appropriate and adhered to
Assistance with presentation of reports to internal stakeholders and Fund boards.
Preparation and review of actuals vs budget reporting;
Preparation of Fund performance reporting;
Preparation and review of quarterly reports;
Ad hoc internal and external reporting from a wide range of stakeholders.

The Junior Fund Accountant may also be required to assist with other projects as required by Barings from time to time.Key skills:

Highly organised, self-starter capable of operating with little oversight
Experience with managing audits (Big 4)
5 years+ IFRS knowledge on technical Real Estate standards
Sound communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to guide internal and external stakeholders and advisors.
Experience with Luxembourg based Funds
CA qualified
