Job Description

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected and growing Town Planning Consultancy in London on the hire of an Assistant Town Planner.Our client has built a successful team that delivers consultancy advice to a wide range of clients across the UK and in this role, you would work on projects in the residential, student accommodation, hotels, serviced apartments, retail, leisure, office,industrial, logistics and self-storage sectors.Working in a well-balanced team, you will help provide the following services to your clients;

  • Strategic planning advice from pre-acquisition to site completion
  • Planning advice on asset management enhancement opportunities
  • Planning applications
  • Planning appeals including Hearings and Public Inquiries
  • Prior Approval applications
  • Planning appraisals for site acquisition and disposal
  • Pre-application engagement
  • Enforcement advice and appeals
  • Retail & Leisure Impact Assessments
  • Planning policy representations and site promotion
  • Sequential Assessments for leisure, retail and flood risk
  • S106 and affordable housing negotiations
  • Expert Witness
Requirements to ApplyCandidates are required to hold a planning degree(s) with As and Bs at A-Level. Planning experience of up to 1 year is desirable but not essential. You should be a good communicator and a team player with a great eye for detail. Needless to say at theGraduate level, you should be keen to learn, hardworking, and ambitious to push forward in your career.Salary / Benefits
