Assistant Support Worker Opportunities - Homelessness - Pan LondonPermanent - 37.5 Hours a week - Shift PatternSalary Scale: £20,572 - £22,784Are you looking for a career supporting vulnerable adultsAbout the roleWe have exciting opportunities around London for Assistant Support Workers to join St Mungo’s and play a key part in delivering quality services to our Clients through basic support and advice as well as contributing to the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team. We currently have vacancies in: Hanwell, Shepherds Bush, Lambeth and Hackney - when completing your application you will have the opportunity to indicate your preferred location!Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To liaise and work with Person Centred Support Workers, Sessional Workers, volunteers and external agencies to deliver the highest possible standard of service to clients.
  • Working within the rota shift pattern as required; to maintain a friendly and supportive environment within the project.
  • Various property management, financial and administrative duties to assist in the efficient and safe running of the service.
  • Who we’re looking forThis is a fantastic, entry-level role for an individual looking to develop a career in the sector. There are minimal requirements for direct experience, provided you can demonstrate the transferable skills required for the role. We have a number of current Managers who started their career as Duty Workers.To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment.
  • A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make changes in their life and the ability to maintain enthusiasm for a high level of contact with clients on a day to day basis.
  • A Willingness and ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, waking nights, bank holidays including Christmas Eve/ Day and New Years Eve/ Day.
  • Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
