Job Description

Assistant Store ManagerMORE ABOUT THE ROLEAxel Arigato is excited to be offering a full-time position for an Assistant Store Manager at our beloved and established Soho location.You will be co-managing an energetic and vibrant team; marketing the store, driving sales, creating brand-building activities, handling customer service and administration. The position is for a hands-on person who is passionate about retail and team-workand who thrives in an innovative and expanding organization.Key Accountabilities:

  • Works alongside the store manager in leading the team to reach store and individual goals, encouraging fun and competitive behaviour.
  • Follow strictly the companys Retail Manuals.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure the team are up to date with relevant protocols.
  • Build and maintain an impeccable stock room that reflects that of the shop floor.
  • Aware of the business objectives which are set quarterly through OKRs whilst striving to meet them in store.
  • To maintain CRM logs in order to build your networks within the city. This log should be used for events, gifting and special projects. Engaging with clients over a period of time working towards customer retention.
  • To understand and pay attention to what is going on outside of your business (competitors) in order to consider/use for your strategic planning.
  • To know your city and the social movements within it.
Team Management:
  • Able to host a team of professionals in store, that can have fun whilst uphold the Axel Arigato culture.
  • Thrive on being a leader and encourage feedback from the team on new ideas, procedures, and approaches. Be the best that you can be for others to follow.
  • Provide engaging training sessions to new hires as well as testing the existing team from time to time. Product knowledge is everything. Constantly referring to our retail manuals.
  • Ensure the companys expectations of image standards are being adhered to. This includes uniform maintenance, general hygiene and condition of sneakers.
  • To maintain an ongoing network pool of exceptional future candidates.
  • To participate in customer store events if deemed necessary.
Administrative Management:
  • Maintain store planners with a minimum of two months scheduling for all employees to view.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the CRM log, encourage the team to reach out to their clients building customer retention.
Stock, Inventory & Loss Prevention Management:
  • Ensure store shrinkage by analyzing dead stock on a two-week cycle in order to maintain shelf space for future drops of the week.
  • Prepare, implement, and execute monthly zoned inventories in order to minimize discrepancies. To report back with suggestions of improvements on each stock take to the store manager.
  • Ensure that the weekly store negative on-hand report is investigated, and results shared with the operations team.

  • Great understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft software.- Passion for retail and excellent customer service skills.

  • Great communication skills with a social and outgoing personality.
  • Have a humble approach and contribute to a good team spirit.
