Job Description

The UKs leading bar group is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Belgian bistro themed bar Lowlander in Covent Garden. We have witnessed phenomenal growth in the last 12 months and we are excited to hear from you!This bar is known for its beer selection, fantastic food and ambiance. This is your chance to work at one of Londons most exciting venues!Lowlander specialises in Belgian beer and we are pretty darn good at it!Key Responsibilities:

  • To oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the site
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of all team members
  • Maintaining all necessary records to ensure all internal and statutory obligations are met
  • Completion of departmental audits and standard checks
  • Financial Performance
  • To support the manager and team to better manage the business to meet budgetary targets, sales, margins and profit
  • Maintain a planned approach to cost control to include wage forecasts that meet the need of the business (flexibility in relation to sales)
  • Encourage and guide the team to focus on sales through actively promoting, developing and growing the business
  • Ensure the staff are trained to support sales and service
  • To ensure weekly and monthly stock checks are completed
  • Invoice and delivery notes to be processed on time
  • To ensure security of stocks and cash
  • Ensure safe working practices
Required Skills:
  • Following the Company guidelines when using or dealing with external contractors, local authorities and suppliers
  • Ability to develop and maintaining relationships with local authorities, licencing and company consultants
  • Ability to liaise with contractors to ensure excellent working relationships are maintained
