Job Description

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager (Media Accounting) on behalf of a rapidly growing accountancy firm, to be based in the firm’s modern Central London office. This is an interesting role that will offer good benefits including twoday per week working from home after the three-month probation period.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant to join a team that provides high quality accounting services to a range of clients within the media industry.As Assistant Manager (Media Accounting) your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborative working to provide financial outsourcing to large global film financiers
  • Directly responsible for tracking film profitability, tracking collateral and cashflow management of investee companies
  • Calculating investor valuations, building investor reports and managing investor distributions
  • Delivering all monthly, quarterly and year end deliverables including Net Asset Valuations of Investment Funds, Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts and VAT returns
  • Liaising with and presenting financial information directly to clients on a regular basis
  • Learning to lead and develop a team, including managing performance, setting goals and ongoing training through mentoring and following our tailored leadership program
We welcome applications from candidates with the following experience, skills and attributes:
  • Be a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant
  • Have previous experience gained within a UK practice
  • Experience in dealing with and presenting to external clients
  • Experience in managing direct reporting lines, and mentoring
  • Organised and able to work under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Experience in UK VAT
  • Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion to drive innovation and process improvements
  • Excellent attention to detail
Along with a competitive salary, you will the successful candidate will benefit from:
  • Flexible working - three days office and two days WFH post after 3 months’ probation period and flexible start time between 8.30 - 9.30am (7.5hr working day)
