Job Description

Our client is a well- established bank based in the west end. An opportunity has arisen for a internal auditor.Duties will include:

  • Assist in the preparation of the risk- based annual audit plan covering all operations in the United Kingdom: incorporating audits of all branches and head office departments including IT, Operations, HR, Compliance, Risk Management as well as business areas, Treasury and Credit areas.
  • To conduct audits in accordance with the agreed plan and against requirements of the FCA and PRA as well as other relevant regulations.
  • To provide audit reports containing specific observations and recommendations
  • To produce quarterly summary audit reports
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
  • Assist the Head of Internal Audit in the reporting of issues to senior management, including drafting audit issues.
  • To recommend methods of improving current systems, procedures and controls.
  • Train staff and explain changes to management
  • Attend relevant training courses as new developments evolve
