Job Description

Accounts Payable Assistant | Permanent | £27.5k-£30k | Hybrid working | Membership OrganisationAltum are recruiting for a proactive and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to join a global membership body. This would be a busy role in the finance team ensuring accurate posting across the Accounts Payable function and supporting the wider team atthe organisation. The role will operate on a hybrid function with 2 days in their Central London office.Responsibilities will include;

  • Process payment requests ensuring correct authorisation
  • Manage international currency payments recording the payment log
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding when posting them
  • Run BACS payments and process all bank payment transactions including direct debits
  • Reconcile expenditure across the organisation to ensure accuracy across the system
  • Prepare journals when posting onto the system working closely with the Management Accountant
  • Issue petty cash to relevant staff ensuring appropriate authorisation
  • Bank reconciliations
The ideal candidate will;
  • Have experience of working in an accounts payable function
